The construction of the fan is extremely flimsy -- no screws securing the fan unit with the housing. The noise aside, the fan does not seem to have the advertised ventilation power.

(More customer reviews)The vent in our bathroom died recently, so seeing that it was a Nutone 665, I ordered this unit, assuming it would be easy to pull the old one out and replace it with this. Unfortunately, the housing has been redesigned for the worse. The old unit did indeed slide out very easily, leaving its hanger bars in the space above the ceiling. The new unit requires you to attach the hanger bars to the housing before installing it. Furthermore, the old unit had an opening for the power to come into the unit where the connections were light, vent, and heat were made. The new unit has these connections outside the housing.
Basically, I had to cut open a larger hole in the ceiling to allow for the hanger bars and give me space to hammer them in. The grille is barely larger than the housing, so now I have an ugly space surrounding the unit in the bathroom ceiling.
If they hadn't changed the design, I could have reconnected the power, slid the unit in, and hung it on the old hanger bars and written a 5-star review. The new design makes it much harder to install in a finished bathroom and I see no reason why it was changed. The old unit's design was far superior. If I fix the drywall and this unit dies, I'll have to cut the ceiling again to get it out. I'd rather just leave the hole and find some kind of frame to fit around the grille to hide the hole.

(More customer reviews)My video review will follow the assembly stages and my first use of the Dimplex PowerChef Convertible Electric Grill, but it's here that I will let you know what I really think.
Delivery - Buyers should be made aware that this will most likely ship via a freight company. Now while it's nice that the driver will carry it through the front door, it does require them to arrange a "time frame" for delivery. Mine was 8:00am - 12:00pm and of course it was delivered at 11:56am. For anyone on a 9-5 work schedule it's a bit inconvenient, but with the size of the boxes it's understandable.
Unpacking & Assembly - It comes in 2 large boxes. (See my customer image) Both the stand and grill are securely packed with plenty of styrofoam and can be easily removed from their boxes. Tools required for assembly are an allen wrench, small flat wrench (both included) and I recommend a power screwdriver if you have one, although a standard phillips will work. I am very comfortable putting furniture, toys, etc. together and was able to put the stand and grill together in less than 30 minutes.
Use - You have two options for cooking: A pre-programmed setting based on what you will be cooking or manual setting. My first time using it I chose a pre-programmed setting for pork, which worked very well and since then I've also used the manual setting which produced results just the same. After several uses now, my preference is the pre-programmed settings. It just makes grilling a no brainer and allows you to focus on guests or family instead of checking on it constantly. Not only does it preheat the grill, it tells you when to add and turn the meat over and then when it's done. My first night I cooked a marinated pork loin that came out juicy and not at all over cooked. (See my customer image) As a precaution I did use a meat thermometer to check for doneness and it was spot on. As for the taste, it was no different than if I had cooked on my gas grill. Additionally burgers and ribs have been just as delicious.
Clean Up - Before my first use I lined the drip pan with foil to help with clean up. This was the easiest thing to do and I continue to do it each time I feel it needs to be changed. As for the grilling grates, I made one mistake my first use. As with most grills you should oil it down before placing your food on it for the first few times to "season" it. I didn't do this and not only did the pork stick, but it left me a terrible mess to clean. I think it took about 30-45 minutes for me to thoroughly clean it off to my satisfaction. Since then I have oiled it well with vegetable oil before grilling and the meat is no longer sticking.
Overall - I have to admit that I like my gas grill. Preheat time is about the same and clean up is no different than the PowerChef. But where this grill sells me is on the fact that it's always ready (No running out of propane), timed cooking (No need to hover) and it's portable. We can easily remove the grill from the stand, put it in the back of the truck or even in a trunk and take it with us - of course you will need an electrical outlet! Will I be giving up my gas grill? Not yet, but it's not because I don't like the PowerChef. I live in the Pacific Northwest where we have lots of moisture and per the "Important Instructions #13 - Never use an electric grill in the rain, sleet or snow". So while this grill will definitely be our summer grill, it will probably have to go to the garage during fall, winter and spring. For anyone in a dry climate, this will be perfect for you year round!

(More customer reviews)The reason I bought this bbq was 1) it was rated the best bbq between $500 and $1000 by most all rating bureau's, 2) it uses high quality 302 s/s, 3) has s/s cooking racks which to me are easier to clean, 4) its a very pretty bbq, and 5) it's a Weber, made in the US. The E-320, with colored panels, in my opinon, isn't as nice looking as the s/s unit.
I bought this bbq from Amazon about 10 days ago. It was shipped for free via Eagle Transportation. I think Amazon realized large items shipped UPS were arriving damaged. At least the few large items I previously ordered and shipped UPS arrived that way. The shipping estimate was 10-14 days with the free option. Four days after I saw that the item was shipped I received a call from Eagle's Los Angeles depot asking me when I wanted it delivered. I couldn't believe that ! I told them the next day. They gave me a time frame, 10-1, asking if that was agreeable. At 11 Eagle arrived, off loaded my bbq in one huge box and asked where I wanted it. The box was completely intact and undamaged. I've never encountered that kind of service from any carrier. Cudos to Amazon on choosing this shipper.
Now, the bbq. Weber's Genesis S-320 LP. I'm a very handy guy with a garage full of tools. I unpacked all the parts and had them spread out on a blanket so I wouldn't scratch them on the cement floor. Everyone's greatest dread is the assembly instructions usually done in a foreign country and poorly translated in to English. But, since Weber is made in the USA, I found the step by step numbered instructions very easy to follow. All the little screws, washers, and bolts were nicely packaged and oh my goodness... they were all there. There were no shortages of any parts. One or two extras in a package would have been nice since I usually drop one of something and lose it somewhere under a bench in the garage. Anyway, the bbq went together effortlessly. I had my propane tank filled and used the weight hanger inside the stand which showed the tank was full. Another nice touch.
Now for the good part; using it. I did that tonight for the first time on Mother's Day. I thought that was appropriate.Anyway, I made cheesburgers - one of my most favorite bbq foods. I read the instructions on how Weber thought hamburgers should be cooked; medium heat with the lid down. They recommend always keeping hte lid down to cook and only opening it to turn the food or check to see if it's done. I also used the side burner just because... it's there. I've never had a bbq with a side burner and found it handy but a space hog. The bbq did what it is intended to do very well. It cooked my burgers in record time with the lid down. We also cooked corn on the cob wrapped in tin foil in the grill at the same time. Everything turned out great.
Now, my trivial gripes. The right side table has all the controls. That only leaves a very small amount of space between the control knobs and the bbq as a useable work area. One should be careful placing items in that area because being so close to the bbq it does tend to get a bit warm. I don't know why Weber couldn't put the controls on the front of the bbq leaving two nice sized working platforms. I found that a bit irritating especially when I used the left side burner. I had no place to set down plates, platters, etc. I had to pull up another small table. I don't know how often I'll actually use the side burner. If I don't use it ofen which I probably won't then it's really not an issue.
Did I say gripes? Well that's all I can think of. Overall, I'm very happy with the Weber Genesis S-320. I like it, alot. Would I buy it again if I only wanted to spend around $750?? You bet ! I can see why it's rated highly in all the reviews. And, you get Webers great guarantee and customer service. Go for it...you won't be disappointed.

Overall totally impressed with this grill and the features, such as smoker/burner, Sear burner and the cool pop up rotisserie motor, heavy stainless steel grates, lighted dials etc. Heats up very quickly, starts easy, good fit and finish all around. Assembly was minimal and intstructions were fine. BUT, was somewhat disappointed that the lid construction is not the solid cast steel as on the smaller "Genesis" model. This model lid appears to have two layers of formed sheet metal with the porcelain coating on the exterior. When the temp heats up and contracts, this lid actually makes poping sounds, not a big deal, but, for the $ I expected the solid heavy lid construction.

Weber 2726 Wood Burning Fireplace Review

(More customer reviews)I had shopped around for a patio fireplace for a couple of years. I didn't like any of the ones sold in the chain stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Sears, etc.). They were poorly built and looked like they would rust out quickly. The more quality built ones were too expensive for what essentially is just a fire ring. I stumbled across the Weber Wood Burning Fireplace and after a little research purchased it. Like all things Weber, it isn't the most flashy or even the best but it is well designed, sturdy, and should last for years. We have used ours once and I will share a number of observations and comments on previous reviews.
First, the small aluminum bowl underneath the fire bowl is not an ash catcher. It is a heat shield. This fireplace should not be used on a wood or composite deck. We have a brick patio and it is safely used there.
Second, where we live (Central, OH) there is no need for a screen around the fireplace. Perhaps in more fire prone areas it would be a good idea, but then again, should you have an open fire in those areas? For my uses a screen is not useful or needed and would just make adding fuel more difficult.
Third, to the commenter who said the fireplace is too smokey, it's the green wood you burned that produced the smoke, not the fireplace. I used well seasoned wood as anyone should and it produced about as much smoke as one would expect.
Fourth, you do not need to use the lid but there is one major advantage to doing so when the weather is cool: the lid helps direct heat down rather than allowing it all to rise quickly. In other words, it keeps more heat down at chair level when you're sitting around the fireplace.
Fifth, the lid does indeed smother the fire quickly. The lid is just tight enough to smother the fire. That's a huge plus since it means you don't have to wait until the fire dies out on its own to go inside. Nor do you have to douse the fire with water to put it out. In the case of this product, I'd recommend you don't do that anyway unless you want to ruin the porcelain finish.
Sixth, it took about 30 minutes to assemble. Even though the handles are wooden, you will still need heavy gloves to move the lid out of the way and move the riser. I have the 2010 model and the handles are sturdy and solid.

Assembly: Simple: Attach lid w/2 pins, screw handle on lid, slide cap on regulator, then slide in grease pan.
Tip: I really urge you to buy a hose adapter and hook up to a larger tank, but if you have to use smaller tanks it uses the long 14oz tanks sold in the hardware department, or remove the outside screw to the tank holder ring and bend it out so you can use the regular 16.4 oz tanks from the camping department.
StartUp: I am still amazed, turn regulator knob to start and push the ignitor and it lights up!
Break in: None..but the grill is NOT nonstick, Just wash the grill before the first use. (It is coated to prevent rust, not to be non-stick), so use oil on the food. Heat up the grill first for 10 or 15 minutes to get hot and oil grate to prevent sticking. I talked at length with Weber about the cooking grate and you do not season this grate!
Cooking: Anything you want to cook fast, GO HIGH...burgers, steaks, shrimp...great grill marks. (I just couldn't make a good steak on a portable gas grill until now). Great taste! Anything else, GO LOW...dogs, brats, potato wedges, corn on the cob. Always cook chicken on low or skins will burn and stick. You can also just mix the oil in with a marinade.
Flare up: Almost none. I intentionally cooked very fatty thighs and got very little flare up, but did get lots of splatter making the chicken turn dark, but it cooked off. Just trim a little...
Clean up: Just scrape, burn, and scrape grate again with brass bristles. If that doesn't work don't be scared to just wash it. For the inside I just scrape down towards the bottom with a piece of cardboard so everything falls out the bottom hole into the grease pan. This is very handy.
It stays cool underneath! BBQ on any surface!!!
Hello again, it's been 18 months since I did this review and after being abused all summer and winter and another summer it still works the same as the first day! I've used mine 2 or 3 times a week in the summer and at least once a week for football and NASCAR. I heat my grate for 10 minutes, brush it, take it off and spray it with a garden hose (every time), heat again for 5 minutes then spray with oil and still not one speck of rust. How you clean yours is up to you, all I'm saying is it's virtually rustproof.
TIPS: I put it in a plastic storage container with all the stuff that goes with it, then put it on the pontoon boat, take it back out and bbq right on top of the plastic container! Who needs expensive carriers when you can buy a wheeled plastic storage container and use it as a bbq table too. I also put a little thermometer on the front top, drill one hole and it screws right on. Oh, and one last thing, I only used $27.00 of propane the whole time (3 tanks)..how bout that!Three years and still goin strong. I haven't replaced anything!
My other BIG Charbroil Gas grill has since rusted away and needs new grills and drip plates.
Four years and I still haven't had to replace anything. It still works as good as the day I bought it and the cast iron porcelain-enameled cooking grate still has NO RUST!

In addition to the stove, you'll also need to purchase a propane tank. I'd also recommend the cast-iron griddle/grill plates designed to fit on the stove. You probably only need one, but if you want two they'll cost you about $20 a piece.
You can probably use standard cookware as you would on an oven range, but I've only used cast-iron cookware on the stove. If you have more expensive cookware, you may want to consider investing in a diffuser plate as the stove flame can be very hot! I haven't done so yet, but you also may want to consider installing the igniter which I believe costs $5-10 per burner. I also purchased the Camp Chef bag for transporting the stove. Even while in the bag, the stove is very heavy and not fun to carry around. Like I said in the title, this is a perfect stove to take camping if you're in a car and don't have to carry it far. For its power, it stores very well. Because it stores in a compact area (roughly 36x18x8) set-up is slightly more complicated than comparable stoves but remains fairly simple. You just slide the four legs into the bottom of the stove, snap the wind-shield in place, and plug in the propane tank. I've seen other stoves that have legs which simply fold up or down. All-in-all, this is a great product!

I had no problem putting grilled marks in my burgers. I imagine that it would do the same for a nice juicy steak. I also tested the unit by soaking 6 pieces of corn of the cob in water for an hour (in the husks)and slapped those on the grill still in the husks. To my surprises they performed just as well as my grill at home and steamed them perfectly.
I am sold on this unit and recommend the Travel Q 100%!

I've tried slowly turning on the tank valve waiting a bit before lighting the grill, but the flame is still too low. I'll have to wait til summer before I can use the 20# tank with adapter hose again.
EDIT: After trying the procedure below I'm up and cooking again with full force even with it being 35 degress outside.
BYPASS INSTRUCTIONS
GAS GO ANYWHERE, WEBER Q + BABY Q
Since 1995, all regulators on gas barbecues have a safety device which restricts the gas flow in the event of a gas leak. You can inadvertently activate the safety device without having a gas leak. Typically, this occurs if you open the LP tank valve too rapidly, or if the valve + regulator assembly is in a slightly open position when opening the LP tank valve.
Your must remember when you are grilling you should always do the tank valve first and then the valve + regulator assembly when you start grilling or stop grilling. Never turn off the valve + regulator assembly before the tank. Gas is trapped in the valve + regulator assembly and adapter hose and the next time you turn on the tank, that residual gas in the line will back up and trigger the safety device.
Also, when you start grilling, you should open the tank valve V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y, about ¼ turn at a time until it is all the way open before you turn on your valve + regulator assembly to light the grill even is it takes 30 seconds to a full minute. If you've just had your tank refilled, it has a lot more pressure in it at first than after you use it for awhile. That may trigger the safety device sometimes, too. These conditions can be recurring. If it happens again, then you will need to go through the reset procedure again.
If you do activate the gas regulator safety device, the barbecue will only reach temperatures between 250 and 300 degrees, even with the valve + regulator assembly on the HIGH setting.

TO RESET THE GAS REGULATOR SAFETY DEVICE:
Open the barbecue lid.
1.Close the LP tank valve.
2.Turn valve + regulator assembly to the OFF position.
3.Wait at least 5 minutes if the barbecue had been lit
4.Disconnect the adapter hose from the LP tank.
5.Turn valve + regulator assembly to the HIGH position.
6.Wait at least 2 minutes, then turn valve + regulator assembly to the OFF position.
7.Re-connect the adapter hose to the LP tank.
RE-LIGHTING THE BARBECUE:
Open the barbecue lid.
1.SLOWLY open the LP tank valve 1/4 turns at a time all the way open.
2.With the lid open, turn valve + regulator assembly to the HIGH position.
3.Ignite the grill by pushing the crossover ignition button.
4.After the burner is lit, close the lid.
5.The barbecue should reach 500 to 550 degrees in 10-15 minutes.
WHEN YOU ARE DONE GRILLING:
Turn off the LP tank valve first
Turn valve + regulator assembly to the OFF position.

Grilling used to be a step by step process which usually meant I ate after everyone else because I was still cooking when most were eating. We like to do meat and vegetables on the grill and with this grill I can do it all at once and sit down with the family and enjoy! You can build your fire off center and spin the grate to move one item off and another item over the flame. You can also build small fires on two sides and put meat in the middle and smoke anything. Easy to control vents allow you to regulate the heat and burn time of the coals. Also it doesn't use a bag of cahrcoal at a time as you might think. You can use one Weber Chimney Starter (which I also recommend)full to cook most items. The grate is TOP quality. I used to go through a grate a year on my old Weber Kettle. This grate is beefy and I think must be finished better. No rust at all after two years. The only thing that keeps me from rating this 5 stars is dealing with ashes. You have to remove both grates (and the cooking grate is a handful)and shovel ashes out. The bottom has three vents that are not made for ash removal. At least you can cook a ton before ashes become a problem. It is expensive and a load but I would do it again in a heartbeat if a tornado came and blew it away. That is about the only thing I can think of that would keep this thing from lasting for 20 years or more.

I bought this grill in February thinking it is entirely stainless steel because Amazon used a different picture for this product. After it was assembled, I realized it is not the same. As you can tell, the hood and front are black. By the way, the black cover hiding the storage compartment is only a piece of cloth, not even metal.
I called Amazon and the representative told me there is nothing she can do since I had already thrown out all the packaging. If I want to return it after spending hours of assembling it, I must repackage it as it came to me and made my own arrangement for the return. The only thing she did was giving me the name and telephone number of the shipper.
This is DOWNRIGHT false advertisement as I would not have purchased this grill had I known what it truly looks like. Amazon refused to acknowledge their mistake but agreed to do an inventory check. I am glad they are now using an accurate picture instead of misleading shoppers like me.
Now I know Amazon's A-to-z Safe Buying Guarantee does not cover its own deceptive advertising.
As for this grill, it's alright, but you can definitely find much higher quality grill from Home Depot, Lowes or Target for about the same price, at least it would not have cheap flimsy fabric.

Although there are bigger grills out there, this one simply works GREAT! And the "flavor enhancer" (which to me works like a mini smoker) really is a great feature. (More customer reviews)Get a coffee can, and cut off the bottom with a can opener. With a bottle opener, use the pointy end for opening juice cans to make openings all around the bottom on the side. Get a double-sheet piece of newspaper and roll from the edges toward the center to make sort of a doughnut, and place in the bottom of the can. Do the same with another sheet of paper, but roll it smaller and place it inside the other doughnut. Poke holes through the center of the doughnuts for air flow. Place your charcoal briquettes on top of the paper. Push the whole stack up so the paper doesn't block the holes (the friction of the paper against the can will hold up the stack). Set the can on your grill or cooking spot, and light the paper through the holes in bottom. It may be beneficial to stack another can with the bottom cut out on top to improve the chimney effect. Now let it sit for 10-20 minutes while the briquettes light up. Come back and find out it blew out. Light it again. Watch it longer this time. When the briquettes in the bottom and sides are gray with ash, use tongs to move them around so the unburned ones can light. When ready, use your Vise-Grips to remove the can. Do not leave the can out in the rain, or it will rust (more easily).

Just spend the very reasonable about of money and buy this product! No rolling the paper JUST right - just wad it up and stick it in the bottom. No concern with keeping the air holes uncovered - a grill inside holds the charcoal. Put the Vise-Grips back in the tool box - this has nice handles. And don't worry about mixing the charcoal - it all lights up evenly.
When I first opened the box, I thought, "Wow! This thing is huge!" Made my two coffee cans seem small, but it is supposed to light a grill-full of charcoal at once. I got the Weber because with all of my research on grills and accessories, Weber products are always recommended above all others. This item seems well-built, and I expect it to last a very long time. After using my homemade charcoal chimneys, which I got pretty good at, I was ASTOUNDED at how quickly this lighted, how quickly it got the charcoal up to temperature, and amazed at the orange inferno it created!
I've been around charcoal grills my whole life (but don't have one myself. Yet. I got this for Dutch oven cooking.) and have never seen a charcoal chimney! I've seen people nearly kill themselves with charcoal starter and ate plenty of charcoal-starter burgers. I don't know why everyone with a charcoal grill doesn't use one of these.
Get rid of storing the starter in your home and transporting it in your car. Get rid of the explosion when you light your grill. Get rid of the starter by-products in your food. Do get this charcoal chimney and get the most easily-lit, most consistently-burning charcoal you can.

The only problem I've had with it was getting a 24 pound Thanksgiving Turkey out without it falling apart and me burning myself. To tell you the truth I forgot how I managed to get the Turkey out but everyone raved over it's flavor! Filled the water pan with wine instead of water. Ribs, Tri-tip, Chicken and my favorite, Salmon have all come out perfect! The trick is keeping the coals hot throughout the duration of cooking time calculated. 4 racks of Ribs (6 hours), the rest half that time. I've had a total of 6 of these (sometimes using 2 at once) throughout my 17 years of smoking. Enjoy! BDM

Another call and faxing of the same materials and I am still waiting for the missing items. I placed my order over 6 weeks ago and still do not have the parts to assemble a working grill. If this is an item you do not have plans to use too soon and you have several hours to spend dealing with their indifferent (Bond not the seller's) Customer Service, then go ahead. Otherwise, save your time and your money and invest in something else.

(More customer reviews)We have owned our Sanyo Microwave Oven with convection and grill for almost two months, and have attempted to test all functions in order to write a complete review. We rely heavily on reviews to help us decide what to buy, so we did our best to evaluate this oven. At almost $180.00 it is not a trivial purchase.
The design is sleek, and the controls easy to use -- but as other reviewers cautioned, keep the booklet handy!
The microwave functions -- cook, auto menu cooking (limited to microwave), auto reheat all work as well as our last microwave -- a G/E over the range.
However, the conbined functions -- micro plus grill, convection plus grill, leave much to be desired.
The roast chicken function -- a combination of micro and grilling is neat and works well -- but does not save time, although it probably saves energy and kitchen heat compared to cooking chicken in a standard oven. When the chicken was taste-tested our family concluded that it was pretty good chicken and assumed that the time to cook was materially reduced -- which it was not. It was agreed that in a "time-bind" they would eat this chicken, but preferred standard oven baked. Given that the chicken took about ten minutes longer than it would have in the oven, the saving was a hot kitchen in the summer, and probably many BTUs.
Combo 1(Micro and Convection) works well -- but it is not fast! Nor are there timing guides. (More on this later)
We have not used Combo 2 (Microwave and Grill) for anything but hot dogs. Too slow by half! Steak is a treat for us, so we cook it with much ceremony outside -- but my experience with grilling hot dogs fo lunch caused me to turn on the broiler in our "real"stove to finish them.
Combo 4 (grill and convection) is rather a joke. Today, in anticipation of putting our review on paper, I took two defrosted quarter pound hamburgs and put them on the grill rack. Dialed in 20 minutes on Combo 4 and walked away. At 20 minutes, the hamburgs registered about 100 degrees F. internal -- as in not cooked. I added another 5 minutes and temped them and got to 120 degrees. Another 6 minutes got them to an edible internal temperature of 140. Thirty minutes to "grill?" two hamburgers?
The convection function alone works well for small quantities of food. But, it is important to note that this is not a convection oven -- in other words an oven that cooks more rapidly than a "standard" oven.
So, what is this neat little oven good for? As a micro it's great. In the same space as a micro you can heat dinner rolls on convection when your main oven is tied up, or bake appetizers while the roast is roasting in the main oven.
What's missing? A recipe book would have helped. The first time I cooked hamburgs using Combo 4 I figured they would cook faster than the time to heat my T-Fal Compact Multi-Grill (rather a waste for two burgers!) and I was dead wrong! (The reason for today's test.) If there had been a booklet or time sheet that indicated 30 minutes to cook two thawed burgers -- well T-Fal would have had the whole job rather than finishing it up!
For people who live in dorm rooms (I was once one of those!) who want all the functions of an oven and a micro in one box -- I would have been glad to have this Sanyo. But -- a recipe book that might indicate time to cook various things -- would really help.
Are we glad we bought this oven? Well, yes. But, and this is important, it is not a Micro/Convection Oven -- nor does it claim to be one.
This oven is a great microwave -- we are very happy with the micro functions. It is also a nice "auxilliary" oven for entertaining -- as long as you can work out the times. It probably saves energy over heating up our main gas oven for small things and will likely keep heat out of our kitchen in the summer.

I have both the Nonstick D5 and Stainless version which came with flat lids. The flat lid works but the domed lid gives your food extra room so it doesn't get smashed and allows condensation to move toward the edge of the pan. Dishwashes perfectly. I only wish that it came with the pans from the get-go.

The vinyl seems a tiny bit on the thin side, but c'mon, what do you want for $10? canvas? this cover is well suited to protect your grill from all of the elements. The cover fits well, but it's also very easy to slip on without much hassle. I have used and abused mine and it still has no rips or holes. The only downsides I can really think of are; it is a bit thin (but feels durable enough to protect your grill) and to my knowledge it only comes in one bland light blue-ish color.

(More customer reviews)For someone like myself who wants a solid well constructed grill, this is a fine candidate. I like the versatility that comes with the griddle on the side. The porcelain covered grates appear very sturdy.
On the down side, as one of the few people in North American who read the owners manual, I was very disappointed. The book was not very helpful in laying out the workings of the grill. For example, I had to find out the hard way that the temperature dial is only for the probe and is NOT a thermostat for the heating element. Using a temperature probe is like cooking with training wheels and I see that as a useless feature. The manufacturer does in fact state how the grill can get to 500 degrees but no other control is available. This makes the prospect of making chicken or something of that sort that requires a lower temperature a bit questionable. But I will give it a whirl. But a VERY serious word of warning, DO NOT use the top of the grease catcher!!!! the material can not be properly cleaned and will cause fires!!! just line the grease tray with foil on each use and you'll be fine.
The manufacturer could not have been more accommodating, helpful and wonderful in answering my inquiries.
So far I can't take issue with performance or function and give this grill a thumbs up

(More customer reviews)I was a little unsure if this type of grill would work with charcoal, but it does. The spacing between the grill and the charcoal is a little close for my liking. You have to keep a close eye on the food so that it will not burn. The food taste great because of that charcoal flavor that a propane grill just would not give. Now the problem, it makes a mess. Cleaning the bottom of the grill is a pain. You can not clean it a 100%. It leaves a little bit of the burn charcoal at the bottom. Also, the handles are a little "weak" for the weight of the grill in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the grill, but I wish it didn't have the problems that it has for the price that it cost.

(More customer reviews)Our faithful little George Foreman grill was ailing. The nonstick plates stuck; it didn't seem to get as hot as it did before. As though reading my mind, Amazon brings up this Waring grill in the gold box, and I decide to give it a chance.
Does it work? Yes! Are the nonstick plates suitably slippery? Yes. Does it cook the food properly? Absolutely. Is the adjustable temperature a neat feature? Sure, although it's not that big of a deal. Does it do a good job grilling things like chicken breasts, sliced eggplant, and other low-fat entrees? Mmmm, indeed it does.
Does it create an incredible mess on those occasions when you want to cook thicker, inherently greasier entrees, like bratwurst? And how.
One of the advantages of the Foreman series is the way the whole cooking surface slopes gently downward. This results in any grease and oil running quickly and efficiently off the cooking surface and into the waiting container.
The Waring features a completely level cooking surface, with just a notch cut in one corner that allows the oil to drip out into the cup. Thus, as fat liquefies and leaves the food, it tends to stay where it dripped, rather than run in any particular direction. Of course, since it's a very hot cooking surface, the oil bubbles, hisses, spits, and sends out a 360-degree spray of greasy spatters. And since your meat is, by design, propping the grill open, those spatters have absolutely nothing stopping them from coating your surrounding counter top, and oftentimes the nearby floor. Cleanup is made easier if you cover the counter with paper towels beforehand, but that's kind of a wasteful hassle.
So, honestly, we'll probably get rid of this messy thing and look into another Foreman. That slope makes a heck of a difference.

(More customer reviews)Before I purchased this grill I was looking for the Char-Broil Fire & Ice Grill (the one with the cooler below); however they have discontinued it for some weird reason. So I researched this one for my tailgate and decided to give it a try. I normally use charcoal however it is such a mess and the smoke blows over into others tailgates which is a little rude.
PROS: Great portable grill; love the side tables; 16 oz propane tank lasted hours (which is very nice); cute little extras like a flag and extra propane tank holder, a holder for paper towels and a holder for the propane tank in use; LED lights are a nice touch; very light considering how large this grill is; has a Non-Stick Teflon coated griddle (good for breakfast items); has a grease collector under the grill; has an ignitior, very easy to setup and start cooking
CONS: You have to assemble this grill out of the box (takes about an hour) and this was disappointing;
MOST DISAPPOINTING FEATURE...you cannot just extend the legs of the base and start grilling, you must take the grill off, extend the legs and set the grill on top of the base, this again applies if you want to collapse the grill, you must take the grill off the base collapse the legs and place the grill back on top; does not have a propane gauge letting you know how much gas is left; make sure it is on a level surface, we tried to make scrambled eggs and they ran off the griddle down to the bottom of the grill
Overall if you can catch this grill on sale it is worth the money (purchased mine for around $160 on Amazon). I still believe a $200 grill should have some extra features like a propane gauge, and the grill should be able to setup without taking it on and off the base.
***PS:Thermos sells a carrying bag for the Grill 2 Go; however it does NOT fit this model. You can fit the grill but not the legs. Returned the carrying bag to Amazon and had my $40 refunded.***

Cons the ad photos show sides which do not come with unit and needs cover! Rain water gets inside from back and fills grease catcher and makes a mess if it over spills.

(More customer reviews)This is our second skillet like this. The first lasted for years before the finish started coming off of the interior so we decided to buy another just like it. The skillet cooks evenly and the heat is easy to control. We purchased through Amazon and J&R Music was the retailer who actually got the order. J&R ships items in the original manufacturers box wrapped only in plastic for protection. The first unit was damaged during shipment and that is when the nightmare began. It was supposed to have been a Christmas gift for my wife and I made that clear when I reported the damage back in early December. They drug their feet making promises of second day delivery and better packaging on the replacement. Bottom line we didn't receive the replacement until December 29th. It wasn't shipped second day as promised, it didn't make it in time for Christmas as promised and once again the box arrived damaged because they only wrapped it in plastic again. Buy the skillet but avoid J&R. Those people just don't get it!

My research always pointed back to "buy a Weber". Weber's customer service was always rated A-1, they've been bbq/grilling experts for years, and you know they'll be around in the future. The one kicker for the Summit S-420 model over a stainless Weber Genesis S-320 was a comment from a friend of mine with a nice stainless Jenn-Air model found at Lowes. He wished the rotisserie was positioned higher on the Jenn-Air. In my assessment of grills, I had never considered the importance of the rotisserie height. After looking at the Genesis S-320 and Jenn-Air models again, it became clear that a turkey or large roast might not work on the rotisserie of the other models. The Summit S-420 and other Summit grills solves this problem by providing a much higher rotisserie position. Add to that a much taller cover, and you'll see there is greater height for convection around whatever you're cooking. I've grilled hamburgers, salmon, T-bone steaks, and slow cooked smoked pork ribs - all to perfection. No need for a high end smoker feature that permanently reduces grill space - an aluminum foil tray with wood chips atop one of the burners works fine. The Snap-Jet individual burner ignition system was tricky at first. Once you actually read the instructions - Hey I'm a guy - you'll find the technology is easy and reliable. Quality is the final key to this grill. The stainless everything is impressive and high quality. The side-burner is more than an afterthought and mimics many high-end kitchen gas cook-tops. Even the doors of the storage area below are double sided for sturdiness. I usually have a minor stint of buyer's remorse after an expensive purchase. I have none. With this grill I can proudly say it's one of the best purchases/investments I've made in years!!!!

(More customer reviews)I bought the Landmann 3405GLA gas smoker, it came very fast and was in good condition except for 2 very minor scratches that I did not even mention to the seller. It lets alot of smoke out around the doors so I bought a felt gasket for the big green egg and used it to seal around the door, which worked great. I had to bend 1 of the vent tabs up so I could close it more. Also, the original gas control knob/regulator worked terribly. It was either open full or at minimum, nothing in between. The thermometer was off by 30 degrees(all of the stock thermometers seem to be inaccurate). I sent an email to Landmann, their customer service people were very nice, polite and helpful. After trying a few things they sent me a new thermometer and control knob/regulator. The new one is a different model so I'm wondering if they've had problems and changed vendors. It seems to work better but have not tried to smoke anything with the new regulator yet. I may also try the trick of using a turkey frier control to automatically control the temperature. Also, I put lava rocks in the bottom and a slab of slate in back of the smoker to add some thermal mass for even cooking.
Advice to other buyers would be to go for the single door model, the drawers are not an advantage and let more smoke leak out. I'd give the manufacturer a 4 star rating for the way they treated me, but until I can see if the new parts make it easier to control the tempurature I gave only 3 stars. Will update after trying out the new parts.
Update: The new regulator/control knob works smoothly and has improved the tempature control. I increased the rating to 4 stars, but this is based on the price of $180. The unit does not compare to a $600-800 digital control models but for $180 I would give it 4 stars within this price point.

First of all, let me say that the quality of Calphalon's stainless cookware has greatly improved as they have recently made the switch from not-so-good impact-bonded stainless bottom (Simply Stainless) to a spun tri-ply construction that's on par with All-Clad.
I just got this grill pan after trying a cheapo reversible 2-burner grill, whose "non-stick" (not quite) coating started coming off very early on, and Mario Batali/Copco new enameled cast iron Panini Grill, whose top part never got very hot, and which was a pain to clean.
The Calphalon Contemporary Stainless, costing the same as the Panini Press, is a much better value. The spun tri-ply gives you very even heat and beautiful grill marks, and, as all stainless, it is extremely easy to clean -just soak for a bit and then wipe the goo off with your sponge. Also, it is very wide, which allows you to grill such large items as flank steaks, and limits splattering.

I only installed one shelf because of size limitations. Assembly was a little awkward, but very straight-forward. The only problem was that about 4 of the screws are in tight places requiring a little wrench acrobatics. I've been cooking on it for a few weeks and it lights effortlessly. The rotisserie works like a dream, cooking a 6lb turkey breast and boneless lamb leg to perfection. I don't think I could get a whole turkey to fit, however.
I'm kicking myself that I wasted 2 months of the summer doing research instead of buying this one right away!

However with the sales tax, it was just about a $1 less than what I paid. The person that filled the tank for me said it was a good tank. I bought it to be able to use the 20 lb. tank instead of the small canister propane tank on my Coleman grill, since the small ones did not last very long. The only negative thing I can say was that there where some small dents in the tank but I am assuming this occurred during shipping. I guess I could return it, but I didn't feel it was worth the hassle. Also, the tank came "pre-purged" so that it was ready to fill. The grill works even better now with the larger tank. If you use your grill a lot, this is the way to go. You can use it to refill, or use it to exchange for a full tank at the stores that have tank exchanges. To use the 20 lb. tank you will need the hose adapter that sells on Amazon for about $25 (Coleman), or most Lowes or Home Depo. Very easy to do.

The Q is a good looking, stylish grill. Added to that are clever design features (folding trays, ultra-light composite shell), a high quality regulator, and a cast iron cooking grate that weighs more than the rest of the grill. Weber has also designed accessories that add to the functionality of the Q. Out of the box, assembly is a breeze. A useful Owner's Guide and a nice recipe card booklet are provided.
I've cooked one meal so far. The food cooked evenly across the whole surface. Once it was preheated, the medium gas setting was plenty to keep the heat up. I was very impressed with how well it cooked. Also, don't be fooled by the thought of a portable grill being small -- the Q can handle a lot of food. I had 4 sausages and 12 large shrimp on it and there was plenty of room for more.
As a longtime dedicated charcoal guy, I find that gas grilling just doesn't provide the same flavor. But the Q has won me over for quick, clean, and convenient weeknight cooking. The idea of being able to take it on the road adds to the value. It may even prove to be a handy double-burner for weekend barbecues. Thanks, Weber, for another great grill.
(Update: I've now grilled potato planks, chicken breast, pork chops, pizza, polenta, pinwheel skirt steaks, garlic bread, eggplant, mushrooms, and beef skewers. All have turned out pefectly. Can't say enough about the cooking grate and evenness of cooking across the entire surface.)

Assembly was easy as all the major components are already assembled so it is just a matter of attaching the sub-assemblies. The fitted cover is heavy duty and superb.
I was disappointed with the performance, however. Despite having a smaller grill surface and lower hood than my old, cheap, Fiesta grill, which should equate to higher temperatures, the cooking times were longer on the Minden. Also the grill had very uneven temperatures. Three hamburgers, placed in a line, front to back, would all cook differently.
I live in Nevada and had wanted to support a local company. I called them and they said they'd inspect it to check whether or not it was operating properly. They did and said it was. I told them I was not happy with its performance and they arranged a full refund. So customer service is excellent.
I also did not like that there was practically no vertical lip at the back of the grill to back-stop hamburgers if you try to pick them up with a spatula (and need to slide them into something) and the control knobs do not have clock face hash marks to line up against to indicate amount of heat, rather an expanding arrow making it difficult to finely adjust the heat settings.
I would recommend getting one from a dealer with a liberal return policy but understand that it will be difficult to re-pack to return it if you have it shipped to you.

(More customer reviews)It may look like a well put together smoker but I think the manufacture needs to go back to the drawing board on this one, for the price, it's not worth it buy a HORIZON for this kind of money!!! Paying this much and having this many things go wrong, I should receive a discount or at least some compensaion for all the hassel!!
My number one complaint with this would be the smoker box, it comes in two pieces that you have to secure together with 1/4" x 3/8" screw and nut. When I received my order I began to put the smoker box together and the two parts did not allign, therefor leaving a gap in the smoker box. Well if the smoker box doesn't seal properly you are not going to maintain the heat for proper smoking. I call the customer service rep at Outdoor Leisure, which I will say that they only have one rep, yes just one, he asked that I send him pictures so that he could verify. I sent him the pictures right away so that he could see the design error that had happened, two days passed and I didn't hear anything back so I called down to see what could be done? He said he had looked at the pictures and said the problem was with the way I had put it together, he said I needed to tighten the screw and that would secure it, I informed him that there is no way a screw was going to move the 1/4 steel to secure the box, if I tried tightening it anymore the scew would have snapped!!! He then said, well I guess your right!!! They then shipped me just a new top cover for this, receiving it 4 days later, plus had already missed the father's day cookout we planned because of this hugh flaw!!! Next problem that I ran into was securing the legs into the main body of the smoker, the instructions indicate to use 1" screws to secure, there were not in the package so I used the 3/4" ones that were provided, I also informed the "one rep" about the error in the manual, he said just use the 3/4". I did and the nut that is supposed to be secured to the leg so that the screw would thread through broke off, so now I can not secure the legs to the main body of the smoker, it is the sitting there. I can still use it but I can not move it becasue the legs fall off!!! I may just take this to someone that knows what they are doing and have the legs and two piece smoker box all welded on correctly!!!

The cast-iron pans are perfect for fajitas, but they also work great for a couple of hamburgers, bacon, veggies or anything else you'd like to "grill" on the stove (or on a real grill) when you don't need big, round, cast-iron pan. The top varnish on the wooden pan-holders quickly gets toasted, but that's part of it's charm, it goes with the cast iron. The little pot-holders for the handles are great for the table, but a larger mitt is safer while grilling. NOTE: this IS cast iron and you will need to properly "season" the pans before you first use them to keep food from sticking.

It had to be large enough to handle a crowd yet easy enough to use for just the wife & myself. The cottage is on an island, so reliability was extremely important - I didn't need to be shacking about for parts or God forbid, returning the unit.
This piece is quality! Quality! Quality! It is a TANK! If this unit was a SUV - it would be a Hummer! The controls are easy to use & precise. The cooking is even with no chance of flare-ups. I have grilled, done a rotisserie, and even baked a jumbo chicken in it - it is a dream.
I was going to spend almost twice as much until my wife put in her 2 cents. I read the reviews and this unit consistently came up on the best of the best under $1500. I can not imagine what one would want or expect a grill to do that has a price tag of $2K? -- But they're out there. No, it isn't the biggest, but I cooked for over 25 people at an all day picnic and there were no issues. No it doesn't have a fancy radiant heater - who really needs that?
I am simply a frugal New England Yankee (and Red Sox fan!) that insists on getting my money's worth. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED if you choose this grill.

Bradley Digital 6-Rack Smoker Review

(More customer reviews)I just received this machine. I owned an original Bradley Smoker that gave up the ghost. When I saw the digital one for sale I thought that it would be more precise and a "set and forget" solution to smoking. I have tried it four times now and have discovered that the temperature variation on the unit is as much as 28 degrees over the set point and as much as 16 below the set point for a temp swing of 44 degrees. It turns out that Bradley has a forum for owners and those interested (look at their web site). Quite a number of new owners have been dismayed and disappointed in the temp swing on this unit. When I called Bradley they just said "that's the way it is with this unit" and told me it is similar to my house oven. I doubt that my home ever varies that much. The cycle time for this variation is 15-20 minutes so the food is never at the set point for very long. I don't recall swings like this with my old one.
If you look carefully at what you get for the hefty premium, it is not much. The basic unit has the automatic biscuit feed and when its out of biscuits there is no more smoke so the smoke timer on the new one means nothing. The timer on the cooking side has a time limit according to the Bradley owners so you can't leave it more than ten hours without going out and resetting it. The temperature control is not reliable so what do you get for the extra bucks. Not much to my way of thinking.
By the way, look at the photo carefully. This unit is not aluminum. It has a door that is painted an aluminum color and the body is black. I have to say that the fit and finish is very nice on the unit.
My advice is buy the original model and save yourself the extra bucks.

(More customer reviews)I received this as a gift and have used it about four times so far. It was OK to install, but interestingly enough the brackets don't fit my Thermos grill all that well. Surprising since both the grill and rotisserie are made by Charbroil.
The motor mount won't adjust quite enough to allow the spit to turn without hitting the lid of the grill. I compensated by slightly propping the lid open ~1\4". You may have to remove the grills themselves to allow the food to turn freely.
I was able to cook two chickens at the same time without much difficulty, but it would be nice if you could buy a second set of prongs to better hold multiple pieces. Overall, for the money, it's a great tool and the resulting food turned out delicious everytime.

(More customer reviews)The main advantage of this smoker is it's small size, which is just right for the two of us. It comes apart and all the smoker enclosure racks etc go in the dishwasher, so clean-up is very easy. It is designed to be transported in a hold-all, though we haven't done that - we just carry it from and to the garden shed for storage. The smoker "bag" that is the cover for the enclosure definitely has a finite life, and it would have been good if they included a few more than the one extra in the box. The only problem I have encountered is that here in Texas, where the outside air is usually pretty warm, it is hard to get the internal smoker temperature down low enough for a long cooking time. Even on the lowest setting the cooking flame heats the smoker to 250 to 300 degrees. The smoker flame isn't enough on its own, so you end up turning the oven flame on and off for those really low temperature foods like fish. I let it get up to its full (minimum) temperature and then turn it off and just let it smoke for the rest of the time. Seems to work very well. It is a nice smoker for those of us that are just occasional fans of smoked foods.

(More customer reviews)This is my fourth gas grill which replaces a very expensive stainless "Turbo" unit I bought from Barbecues Galore about eight years ago. That Turbo started out fine, but steadily deteriorated to the point where I didn't even want to fire it up anymore. The quality of materials and workmanship on the Weber Summit S-650 is top shelf. Every detail is well thought-out and executed, including the burner system, high-end side burner, LP tank weight guage, heavy guage stainless grills, jet ignition system, separate smoker box and burner, drip tray system, massive lid, and LED grill-out lights that really work. I've only owned the Summit for a short time, but everything I've grilled so far has turned out perfectly. The six burners and large cooking area make it possible to cook for a large party, but also provide more options for indirect cooking. Want more heat without increased gas usage? Turn on the burners closer to the food. It's brilliant. Perhaps the best features are the flavorizer bars and grease drip system. They virtually guarantee no flare-ups on fatty foods like burgers and chicken quarters, which was a constant source of frustration with my previous grill. The grease hits the flavorizer bars and disappears into a poof of smoke. What misses the flavorizer bars hits the full width slanted grease tray that terminates into an aluminum catch pan. Clean and easy to manage with zero flare-ups and no charred food.
I really can't say enough good things about this grill and I can't think of a single negative to write about. While the Summit S-650 may seem expensive at first glance, it compares very favorably to grills costing 4x as much. With the Summit, you don't get what you pay for...you get much more. Is it possible to love a grill? :-)

(More customer reviews)I ordered the big daddy hoping to get some serious smoking done and boy did I. I really liked the way it came packed everything was perfect, no major dents or scratches. I am able to put about 7 racks of baby backs in the main chamber and 9 in the chimney. I have used this about 7 times now and each time my food comes out perfect. If I had any complaints it would be placing the thermometer in the middle of the main chamber instead of next to the firebox. I also would have liked better directions. I didn't realize I needed to spray it down with PAM and burn it in for a few hours to season the unit but boy am I glad I did. If you do not plan on doing allot of slow smoking then you can get the unit with just the firebox and the main chamber and skip the big daddy's price.

(More customer reviews)We got the O-Grill 1000 for use during "car style" camping as well as everyday home use. So far we have used it five times and it's been great each time. First the quality of the build is really really nice. Hinges are solid, grill grate is nice and heavy and produces amazing grill lines because of the cast iron's ability to hold heat (it's a coated, or something, cast iron though cause they recommend cleaning with warm soapy water and using nothing abrasive except for brass). The interior is all non-stick-like material so you can just wipe it down after each use (which they recommend in the manual to prevent grease buildup, which would otherwise end up looking like paint chips). The thing heats up fast, you can close the lid (actually told to by manual when pre-heating), it can stand upright and out of the way when you aren't using it, it can be set up on virtually any table or even surface, and it's really conservative on gas. It accepts portable liquid propane tanks out-of-the-box, and you can also get a variety of adapters, I'm guessing all standard ones cause there's a large reference chart in the manual about connecting different kinds of adapters, for such tanks as the 20lb ones you get for large gas grills. We have used it five times and still haven't run out of the one longer blue LP gas tank (14.1 oz?) i got for $4 from the hardware store, it should also accept the more squat green LP gas cans too. Again it's the little touches i love; the little metal spring to hold the grill plate in place when you fold up and carry the thing, the little tethered matchstick holder just in case the igniter goes bad (which has shown no signs of being bad at all, has lit perfectly with only one press of the igniter every time and the flame is nice and even), and that the legs will hold the grease trap in place during transportation.
The ONLY negatives that I've thought of so far is that you have to wait for the grease to solidify, or you have to clean it right away if you want to fold it and move it. I moved it once right after grilling burgers and grease ran out along the back/bottom. I basically just wipe it down right away now, the body of the grill cools off really quick, the grill plate is the only part that will retain heat for any extended time and even that wasn't too bad. Also, there isn't really a lip around the grill plate so you should be careful not to spatula-slide your meats right off the grill, easy not to do, just be warned not to be a heavy handed klutz (other comparable grills may very well have the same issue, i don't know).
So far i would buy this grill a hundred times over. I already want another one cause my girlfriend and I split the cost of this one and it primarily lives at her house. I personally see no need for the 3000 model, but I guess size may matter to some. Based on it being virtually the same as this model except bigger, I'd imagine the 3000 to also be a really quality unit. But this before it's quality reputation drives the price up. I got mine on a different site for a little over $100.

I've always hated the Foreman grills. They sell, in my opinion, only because of Foreman's name. They're not new, novel, inventive, unique... and they never were. The day they hit the shelves, I was using a five year old unit much like them, but better. So when I went shopping for an indoor grill and kept running into people pushing Foreman's grills, I was frustrated. Finally, I stumbled across the Kalorik in a store and asked about it, did a little online research and decided to take a chance.
The cooking surface is large, half griddle and half grill, and excess fat drains easily. The lid, which can act as a windbreak and serve as a handle too, is clear glass, making it easy to keep an eye on your food without having to open it all the time, letting heat out. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly and, with removable parts, cleans in a flash.
The only complaint I have is about the lid. When you lift it, the hinge sinks smoothly into a pocket, where it can stand upright. This is great, when you're cooking - no holding it with one hand and trying to do everything with the other, you've got two free hands! But, when you try to close it, it's not quite so smooth. You have to lift it from the pocket it's resting in and I've usually been unable to close it with one hand, so I'm forced to step away from the unit, set down what's in my hand, then return to close it. If you've got small kids or cats (dogs don't usually spend much time walking on counters), this can be a real problem. Not the worst problem in the world, but annoying, especially from a company that, according to their own site, is "synonymous with fine engineering".

(More customer reviews)First off, the grill works great. There's plenty of surface area, it lights easily, and I like the fact that it has a lid lock while being transported. The side trays are nice. I've taken it to the beach and the ballgame - worked great in both situations. A few minor things, though. So far, I have not been successful using an adapter hose with a gallon propane tank. While the product never advertised that it could be used this way, using those small camping propane bottles is a pain (and more expensive) when you just want to fire the thing up really quick at home to cook a couple chicken breasts or hot dogs. The instructions could have been a little better, but really pay attention to the detail, and you'll be OK. Lastly, when spending this much on a grill, I was hoping the cooking surface would have been a little more substantial. I have visions of these things deteriorating pretty quickly vs a ceramic material, but then I guess it would have been heavier to lug around. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it as a portable grill, though.

Assembly instructions were clear enough for me to follow and not make any mistakes. I do agree that it took a good chunk of time to put together, but for 80 dollars, what do you expect?
I understand the low star rating for the customer(s) that did not receive all of the parts for their grill (my grill came with all noted parts). What I can't understand is people complaining about a grill this cheap that does what it is supposed to do. If you don't want to assemble a grill (or if you can't read instructions), don't buy the grill online. Did you expect it to be assembled and delivered to your back porch? There are plenty of stores that you can go to and buy a pre-assembled grill. If your expecting the highest quality grill for 80 dollars, then you have another problem altogether.
This grill is perfect for my situation, as we live in a 2 bedroom condo on the second floor that only has a small patio/balcony. I was able to leave the left shelf off of the grill and it fits nice and flush against the corner wall. Although I have only grilled on it 3 times so far, it does a fairly good job and it is much better than using our old propane grill that sat on the floor. I would highly recommend this grill if you are looking for a smaller no frills grill that does its job well.

It works quite well at destroying small emerging weeds on bare ground, gravel and in between bricks. For larger weeds I find pulling is still a better option than the torch. The product is less effective when used in or around flammable ground cover or tender vegetation because of the resulting collateral damage.
If you are comparing the torch against the ease and effectiveness of chemical weeding products (Ortho Weed be Gone, etc.) you will be disappointed in this product's relative performance. If you are comparing this product to other "organic" weeding methods (pulling, high concentration vinegar, etc) you will be satisfied with the relative performance.

I wanted others to know what this product offers
It is an interesting beautiful modern hi tech gas grill perfect for tight spaces like small terraces. It is made for the I phone generation that wants something with high style and performance. One of the designers actually once worked at Apple according to past press releases I read
Fuego the makers of expensive 1500 dollar plus grills and up have come up with a smaller more cost effective model that comes in colors or Stainless Steel
So far on most counts it's a winner. One of the most beautifully designed grilling products in years with some caveats. Check their website out it's a beauty.
It is more challenging to cook on then your typical Weber however I imagine with some time one can adjust to the unique design of the burners and the control knob that also takes some adjusting too for self ingnition.It does work fairly well but takes a simple learning curve for ignition
My complaints so far with this grill is cleaning is somewhat of big challenge under the burners and the grease cup is too tiny and flimsy
The gas tank is hidden behind the stunning perforated colored or Stainless steel curved sheet
My biggest pet peeve however is every time you want to cook you have to remove the metal sheet front plate which otherwise perfectly hides the unsightly gas tank. You then place the curved rounded tank cover somewhere in my case on the floor of my terrace to turn the gas on. It looks awful with the cover off and you now have this cover you have to find a place for until you shut the gas off after cooking and then reinstall the cover. What on earth were they thinking? Incredibly stupid on the part of the designers.
This is going to be a deal killer for some. I imagine upcoming on a future design they are going to have to put the door on a hinge or other improved design. Otherwise face a lot of returns or lost sales from folks that find this a major annoyance every time they want to turn the grill on
A huge disappointment for what is the most incredible high design grilling product in years to hit the market at an affordable price for what it is.
The other very sad element is the company itself. While they publish a clever blog they have no one during regular business hours at the company to answer questions intelligently and do not return phone calls promptly taking days to respond. There is practically no one working at the company. They are more interested in selling products and letting someone else worry about customer concerns. My unit came with a damaged cutting board for example that was poorly packed by Fuego.The voice mail said someone would call back in 3 days or more.
Fuego also told me that dealers would have the new grill close to Memorial Day in late May and couldn't be bothered to follow up with me when it would come in. Here it is October and I finally received the grill yesterday.
My advice to Fuego? Hire a few folks or outsource to a world class service provider who can advise and inform customers.This would build long term satisfied customers spreading good word of mouth.Fuego is in need of improved customer service that said they do make a stand alone category killer product even with the current above flaws noted. The product performs reasonably well in most cooking attributes especially as I continue to break in the grill. Overall my patience may have paid off overall despite the earlier disappointing business behavior early on of the Fuego folks.
Updates March 7th 2010.The Fuego folks now have future thoughts/plans about installing hinged doors on upcoming production models. Call or email to find out.
After a few months of back and forth with the Fuego folks they put me in touch with a manufacturer rep that was able to redesign the function of gas door cover to incorporate a working hinge. It has greatly improved my satisfaction with this product. Some of my earlier criticisms are starting to be addressed internally at the company. One may need patience dealing with these folks and their service providers but they do follow through eventually. All in all I do recommend the product for those that seek great design attributes over some shortcomings with functions like cleaning the interior of the grill. An excellent fellow Amazon reviewer Frank Diniz has suggested lining the bottom of the grill with foil which I plan to try. In the end the Fuego folks have kept and lived up to their promises by exchanging the damaged shelf and assisting me in finding a solution to the no hinge door issue. Though I am reasonably satisfied with my purchase based on limited high design grill options in the market place I believe future improved models will be superior to what our first generation products are like. That said it is an acceptable choice as its stands today. Thanks to all for voting my review to the number one position here on Amazon Cheers

I used it to prepare chicken breasts, and they cooked fast and were juicy and tender, and had just the right amount of smoke flavor. I'm looking forward to using my stovetop smoker for seafood and vegetables. It's a great way to add flavor to food, and a very healthy way to cook.
The smoker is constructed from heavy steel and is well made. I could smell the smoke as the food cooked, but it wasn't intense and there was no smoke in the house. I'll still use my outdoor smoker for batch cooking or for smoking large birds, but expect to get a lot of use out of the stovetop smoker.

WeatherReady Offset Umbrella Cover Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great cover for an offset patio umbrella. It's easy to put on the umbrella and easy to remove. More about that later. This cover is well made from a durable material consequently from the looks of it, it should last for many years. It has an easy to operate zipper on one side, a velcro tie down strap in the middle and a cord closure around the bottom to secure the cover when it's on the umbrella.
This cover came with a jointed metal rod to help put the cover on and remove it as well as reaching the zipper if you're a short person. That's the good news. The bad news is that the rod is so flimsy that it fell apart the first time I attempted to use it. No big deal - I have a 5' broomstick that I use (at least when the M.I.L. isn't riding around on it) to put the cover on and to remove the cover when we want to use the umbrella. Honestly, it is very easy to put on or take off. Either action takes less than 15-20 seconds to complete. Our offset umbrella is 9' tall so you do need the broomhandle to get the cover over the top of the support pole.
The other small problem is the velcro tie down strap which is positioned roughly in the middle of the cover height wise. This velcro tie down was not long enough to go around our umbrella even though according to the manufacturer's specs the strap should have fit around our umbrella. This strap along with the bottom tie down cord is designed to keep the cover from billowing in the wind while it's on the umbrella. Matter of fact the velcro strap was a good 4-5 inches too short. They must have been running out of velcro in China the day this cover was made. The only viable work around that I see is to simply tie a cord around the middle of the covered umbrella in lieu of the velcro.
This cover does protect an offset umbrella quite well from the elements when not in use as well as from the sun's UV. If it hadn't of been for these two problems I would have given it a five star rating. As mine arrived with the two problems I think four stars is appropriate. I would still buy this same cover again if I had it to do over.

I have the Q320 though, but the height/width is supposed to be equal to the Q300 (at least that's what it says on Weber's website). Maybe they aren't putting the shelves down?
Anyway, this cover is perfect. It will protect your grill and it covers every part of it perfectly. It does not sag on the ground, nor is it baggy. It fits like a glove. Very good quality. I'd recommend this cover to anyone.

I called Weber and they told me the "new" design no longer has this handle and that without it, it was easier to remove the rotisserie from the grill and easier to remove the food from the rotisserie shaft!? Other than that, this rotisserie is as advertised and works well.
My previous Weber grill rotisserie had an adjustable counterbalance which I liked a lot and it worked well. I wish this rotisserie had a counterbalance system.

It was a little more heavy-duty, but as far as results go, the Brinkmann is every bit as good. Assembly proved to be slightly annoying. The screws and nuts were tiny and difficult to thread and the main cylinder was slightly out of round. Once assembled, however, the performance is excellent. I've used it a dozen times already, with very tastey results.

I figured it was worth the purchase even with the design flaw because the grill has great features for the price. I researched solutions for the leaking and then emailed support to ask them for advice. I was surprised when they offered a cover but recommended not to install flashing because "they don't know how it will effect grilling". They have known about the leakage for more than 3 years. With $2,000 grills you think they might explore some solutions other than a cover. People who spend this much on a grill are likely to be the same people who are willing to grill in the rain.
Anyhow, I bought some flashing and some high temp flu tape (highest rated) and flashed the 1" gap between the grill and the cart. Even with this mod, set up was quick and no problems except for the quick connect on the side burner. It just won't snap in for me. No bother, I didn't buy the grill to use the side burner.
No problem with grilling at all. It heats up very quickly and the sear section is incredible. I love the smoke box. It takes a while to get the timing down on the smoker. I have been using the grill for a while now and have no regrets at all. Lights up perfectly, heats well, and easy to clean. The only problem is cleaning the grill with hairy arms. They look like I have a perm. Perhaps time for a longer handle on my brush.

Grilling really can't get much easier than this. After assembling the grill (which takes only a few minutes), simply plug it in and allow about 10 minutes to fully preheat the surface while you gather your steaks, kebabs, or whatever's to be grilled. The electric heat has an adjustable range from low (for keeping food warm) to high (for searing steaks). The nonstick grill surface not only means you can use a minimum of added fat, but it also makes cleanup a cinch. The surface has a subtle slope, with channels that draw accumulated fat or other liquids into a tray just below the surface. The high domed and vented lid helps create a circular flow of hot air to ensure even cooking--particularly important for a large roast or whole chicken.

It's not the stoutest thing you could imagine but it is most sufficient for the job required. Anything more would just get heavier.
Also, the engineering design itself is really quite convenient once you study how to best use it. While it came completely assembled it does have a learning curve.
I spent about thirty minutes trying different approaches to raising and lowering the setup until finally it became a very simple task. Those complaining about not being able to raise the stand w/o taking the grill off are wrong and need to practice a bit more until they discover the trick to it. I can set this up or break it down in about 30 seconds.
I did chose to make one change however. I think someone else mentioned doing the same.
It has a long velcro strap for holding the cart in it's folded position. I instead use the strap to tie down the grill lid to the front of the cart. This makes it one integral unit so that I can raise or lower the whole grill without it becoming detached from the cart.
When upright, make certain to "completely" lock in the wire support to the wheel axle. It not only snaps "over" the axle but also snaps on the "underside" as well.
Steps to how I raise and lower the grill while on the cart.
1. Strap the grill handle to the front of the cart with the velcro strap. IMPORTANT!
2. Release the wire shelf at the bottom from the wheel axle.
3. Lift the wire shelf with your right hand while holding the left side of the grill with your left hand.
4. Pick up on the left side of the grill to take the weight off the leftside legs and at the same time pull up on the wire shelf in your right hand. (This folds the left side legs under the grill.)
5. Put your right foot in front of one of the wheels to keep them from rolling and lean the whole setup over the right side legs while at the same time lowering the unit to the ground and off you go!
VERY SIMPLE TO DO! This is all done in one flowing motion actually and it takes about 15 seconds. But DO NOT forget step one, attaching the grill to the cart with the velcro strap.
To raise simply do the reverse. Start by leaning the grill on its left side and pulling out the wire grill (if you tucked it under). Pull the wheels out to the right. Hold the wire grill in your right hand and pick the grills left side up with your left hand. Push the wire down and the left legs over and snap the wire in the axle. EASY!
It works great like this and I am VERY glad I purchased the cart. I can't imagine being without it!
OH! And does this grill ever do a fine job cooking! It is terrific!
I am very pleased with my setup and have no doubt it will be well worth the investment. I'm sure you will be as well.

(More customer reviews)As a fan of the earlier Smokey Mountain Cooker, I'm surprised and gratified with the changes they made to the smoker.
The previous smoker was an easy 5 stars in my book. I guess I'd have to give this one 6 stars, because it's better!
After using my old smoker for some time, I began finding ways to improve it. It seems that Weber thought so too, and their changes include all of mine plus a few more.
Here are some important improvements:
Wider door for adding charcoal & such. This is NOT a small detail but rather a much appreciated design change. The older model's smaller door made it more difficult to place wood chunks or new charcoal where I wanted them and once upon a time I knocked the water pan down into the coals trying to put a wood chunk toward the back of the smoker.
The door latch is spring loaded and features a lever type handle. The previous door latch is not spring loaded and had a featureless round knob. It was less secure and not always easy to tell if the latch was fully closed. Now it's obvious -- for those of us who need things to be obvious. :)
Built-in thermometer! To think I paid more than Amazon's current price on the smoker and then another $50 on a thermometer. Mine is even in the same place on the lid. Great minds think alike, I guess... and Weber added this useful feature while keeping the price under control.
Bottom ash catch pan. I never thought of that one but then again I have a concrete pad set up and it was never a big deal to sweep up a few stray ashes.
Overall, the smoker performs as well as the older model but is much easier to use. With the thermometer, it will be much easier to maintain temperature and smoke up some great grub right out of the box.
I am by no means an expert, but here are a few quick tips for using this smoker.
0. If you are interested in instant gratification, get a gas grill or go out for dinner. It takes some work, time and patience to use and maintain this smoker.
1. Keep the temperature as stable as you can.
2. Don't lift the lid any more than you have to (for mopping, adding charcoal, etc.
3. Use briquets, at least at first. It's much easier to work with compared to lump charcoal. If you do choose to use lump charcoal, don't add any extra wood chips or would chunks! You'll oversmoke the food and that's bad!
4. Start early. Give the charcoal time to start up, and the liquid in the water pan to get up to temperature before you put on the food.
5. Line the water pan with aluminum foil. Trust me; it will be much easier to clean later if you do!
6. Make small changes to the vents when you need to adjust the temperature. Give it some time to work.
7. Get a good book on smoking. I think we all know a good place to look for one...
8. The internet is your friend. Check out Weber's site, some of the bbq forums and most definitely Virtual Weber Bullet.

I have used mine for over a year for roasts, whole chickens, chili, soups, etc. and all are done to perfection on "low". Sounds to me like the other reviewer had a defective one. This slow cooker really IS versatile! I have the stainless steel model, not the black aluminum one. You can slow cook all day or speed things up by using medium or high temperature settings. I will replace mine immediately if it wears out...don't know what I would do without it! I use it almost every day.

You can use just the burners you need when preparing a meal for two or crank them all up to have a large cooking area for multiple hungry guests. The rotisserie burner is perfect for that purpose. I have never had such good pork tenderloin as the one we cooked on the rotisserie. The smoker chamber is a nice feature that adds a bit of the slow smoked taste that is usually reserved for wood smokers.
The grill is made from solid, quality stainless steel that looks great and should last for many years. I was surprised by how well the handle light works to illuminate the cooking area at night. I highly recommend this product over the many others on the market that cost considerably more.

I own a chimenea that is 46.5" tall by 19" in diameter, since this cover is slightly taller I cuffed the bottom and skipped using the ties and cord locks, it has stayed in place all winter and has kept the fuel inside dry and ready for when the snow melts.
