Weber Q 220 Portable Propane Gas Barbecues Review

I concur with other reviewer's assessment - this is a great little grill. I bought it as a temporary hold-over until the backyard remodel with outdoor kitchen is complete. I was initially concerned about the relatively low Btu output, but I must say it sears steaks very well. Definitely exceeds my expectations.
I also bought the cart stand, cover, and Weber's cast iron griddle. I use the griddle to do oven-roasted potatoes, and the cart is very nice. NOTE: The cart comes with a propane tank hose, no need to order separately.

Ronco Inventions ST4000 Showtime Indoor Rotisserie and BBQ Review

Ronco Inventions ST4000 Showtime Indoor Rotisserie and BBQ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Great product! I have to admit, I'm addicted to kitchen appliances. I love 'em! What separates the Ronco Rotisserie from the others is that I actually use it and use it often.
I purchased mine after seeing the infomercial. To my delight and surprise, it was presented accurately. This makes roasting a breeze, clean up a snap and the results are mouth watering.
For a while, I used it to only roast chicken. As a single, working mother, I'd roast two at a time, intending to use the cooked chicken for chicken salads, Cordon Bleu, curries, sandwiches, etc. throughout the week. Since then, I've cooked just about everything, my favorite now being roast beef. (Marinate the roast in beer overnight, then make a rub with seasoned salt and rosemary, apply liberally. Delicious!)
My included flavor injector doesn't work well, so I don't use it. I've tried injecting lime juice under my chicken's skins and the juice pours out of the injector before I have inserted it into the meat. This may be a defective injector, but I thought it worth mentioning to other consumers.
Also, I have attempted to use the "steamer" located on top of the Rotisserie. The "steamer", in actuality is just a pan which is warmed solely from the heat that the unit emits. Thus, I cannot control its heat and my vegetables have come out too soft for my preference.
Having mentioned heat, I must state that this unit gets HOT. PLEASE use with caution! Unlike the slogan repeated on the informercial, you really cannot "set it and forget it". You MUST monitor your Showtime Rotisserie. There is even a warning upon the window to this effect.
As pleased as I was with my Rotisserie, I recommended it to my sister. We'd both used ours to cook Thanksgiving turkeys. Apparently, she had not trimmed down or tied her wings tightly (you do not have to buy extra meat ties [over priced] from Ronco or inexpensively from your meat market. I use unwaxed, unflavored dental floss with wonderful results). This, combined with the fact that the fat really does copiously drip into the pan at the base of the unit, resulted in a grease fire. The unit and the turkey were salvaged however.
Finally, I share that one of our local news stations (Washington, D.C.) did an in depth investigation on infomercials. Its purpose was to report if products that the infomercials introduced were as easy, practical and effective as they claimed. Its findings were that the ONLY product that was tested and worked as introduced was the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie.
If you follow directions, monitor your unit and do not become careless because of the ease of its use, you will have excellent results.

Weber 1781001 Summit E-650 Grill, Propane, Black Review

Agonized over whether or not an expensive grill was worth the money. I call it expensive since you can get the same size for nearly half the price at a retail chain. I'm not agonizing anymore. I have used it for three weeks now and the kitchen oven is getting jealous. We cook everything on this grill. Today, we finally used the rotisserie for a whole chicken and it was the best we've had. Fish, steaks, chicken and pork all grilled to perfection - and fast!

Fire up this grill with the push of a button, and load up its burly cooking grates with food for the whole crowd. With gourmet-savvy features for juicy flavor and tenderness, the Summit grill from Weber is the best way to take backyard grilling to the next level. The Summit features a sturdy, enclosed cart with chrome-plated cast aluminum handles. An accent-colored painted steel frame and porcelain-enameled shroud with polished handle and trim shimmer brightly on the patio or deck. And, accent colored painted, cast aluminum end caps dress up the unit nicely.
The cooking system, rated at 60,000 Btu's, includes 4 stainless steel burners and Weber's Snap-Jet individual-burner ignition system. The cooking grates are equipped with stainless steel, 9-1/2-millimeter rods for easy cleaning and optimal durability. Weber's stainless steel Flavorizer bars eliminate grease-fueled flare-ups that often occur with standard lava rocks and ceramic briquettes. Fats and juices are vaporized when they hit the angled bars and quickly sizzle away, adding delicious, smoky barbecue flavor rather than cauterizing flames. The primary cooking area measures 769 square inches. The handy warming rack area measures 145 square inches for a total cooking area of 624 square inches. The grill also has a 12,000-Btu input flush-mount side burner that lets you prepare sauces and side dishes right on the grill. And, a 10,600-Btu infrared rotisserie burner is great for slow, even cooking of roast, ham, poultry, and more.
Other features include a center-mounted thermometer, 2 stainless steel work surfaces, Weber's Grill-Out handle light, 6 tool holders, an enclosed cart and a precision fuel gauge, a spit fork rotisserie attachment with heavy-duty motor. Two heavy duty front locking casters and 2 heavy-duty back swivel casters ensure easy transport and safety. The purchase includes a Weber cookbook and is covered by a Weber limited warranty.

Weber Genesis E-310 LP Gas Grill - Black Review

Weber Genesis E-310 LP Gas Grill - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When it came time for me to buy a grill, I looked immediately to the Weber Genesis series, mainly because my family has always owned Webers and we've never been disappointed by them. My dad's prior Genesis grill lasted about 10 years before needing to be replaced, and likely would have lasted longer if it weren't for the harsh South Florida climate (the humid air down there is really rough on anything metal that's left outside).
I opted for the E-310 as I didn't need a side burner and didn't quite feel like paying up for the stainless steel model (which is nice, but hard to keep clean!).
This is a GREAT all around grill. IMO, there's nothing worse than a cheap gas grill - they don't maintain even heat, they don't get hot enough, and they often have the heat source too close to the food. I have a feeling a lot of the charcoal snobs out there (and I admit I used to be one myself) believe so ardently in charcoal's superiority partly because they've compared it only to a cheapo gas grill - guess what, it isn't the "rich smokey flavor" that makes charcoal grills great, it's the heat (they get hotter than most of the cheaper gas grills available) and the evenness of the heat. When buying a gas grill, you DO get what you pay for - and the Weber Genesis series is worth it. My Weber will heat to 600+ degrees, maintains even heat, and the heat source is far enough from the food to limit flare ups.
I've had this for about 2 weeks now and even I'm surprised how much I use it - almost every night (and THAT IMO is the main advantage of gas vs. charcoal, this thing is so convenient that I use it probably 5 times a week even though I live alone so I'm usually cooking for one). Thus far I've cooked steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts, and chicken wings on it (as well as sides like corn on the cob, asparagus, and new potatoes, all done on the grill of course), and it's ALL come out great. I'm very happy with it and I'm sure it'll only get better as the grill gets broken in and as I get more experienced using it.
If I've helped convince you to spring for the E-310, there's one thing you should consider (aside from whether to go stainless steel and whether to go with a side burner - those are both personal preferences) that you may not know about: there's a choice between cast iron and stainless still grill grates. I'm pretty sure the one offered on Amazon has the cast iron. Now, in most cases I think cast iron is great for cooking (it really holds the heat in better and gives a superior sear vs. other metals), HOWEVER cast iron does not hold up very well when left outside, especially if you live in a humid climate. Also, it's harder to clean. For this reason, if you live in a humid climate I'd recommend going for the version of the E-310 that has a stainless steel grill, you can find them if you look around. You can still get that cast iron sear when you want it by simply buying a Lodge cast iron skillet or griddle (available here on Amazon for < $20) and using it right on the Weber grill for certain dishes - I did this for a Filet Mignon the other night and it produced an excellent sear.
Overall, 5 stars for the Weber Genesis for a great cooking experience AND great Weber quality that should last you 10 years or more, if properly taken care of.

Weber® Genesis E-310 LP Gas Grill - Green Review

Weberandreg; Genesis E-310 LP Gas Grill - Green
Average Reviews:

This is the best/last grill you'll ever buy.
There are TWO versions of this grill. 2007 edition and 2008/2009 edition. Both editions look exactly the same. However, the 2008/2009 editions have different gas manifolds, improved gas control knobs and spark ignitors on top of the gas tubes. There are probably more differences...
I have the 2007 edition. I have upgraded the gas tubes to the newer edition since the ignitors will be covered by the Flavorizer bar. The 2007 editions have the ignitor on the side of the 1st burner tube. Over time, this will be covered by food grease.
hope this helps future buyers!

Weber 3741301 Genesis E-310 Propane Gas Grill, Black Review

Weber 3741301 Genesis E-310 Propane Gas Grill, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've never met a Weber grill owner who didn't remain completely loyal to the brand. Weber customers will never buy anything else. I can't speak to their less expensive lines (some are made in China), but the premium lines are first rate made in the US of A and the EP-310 is a great example. This is a grill which I own and it will last for many, many years. This unit is made of 302 stainless steel, the GOOD kind, not the inferior 420 stuff most of the grills at Lowes are made with. Some parts are cast alumnium and a few cabinet parts are painted metal but nothing that will rust. Without going on feature by feature, this grill was designed to cook well and very efficiently and last a long time to boot. The thick stainless steel cooking grates are key. Anything else (cast iron, porcelinized iron etc) will rust away too soon and they are not cheap to replace. These will last virtually a lifetime. Many cool looking grills you see are affordable because they chince on the grates. You get a grill for $200 and a year later you are buying grates for $100. Take my word for it...buy a Weber grill. This model is a top shelf choice. The Genesis S-310 is the same but the cover is stainless and it costs $100 more. I find stainless too hard to keep nice looking. The black porcelin cover is easy to keep clean. Oh, and there is a sister model to the EP-310...the EP320. It is the same but has a side burnr. Happy grilling!

For great flavor, gourmet searing, even cooking, multiple courses, easy cleaning, and good looks, nothing beats the Weber Genesis outdoor grill. An enclosed cart is great for storing cooking utensils and grilling supplies out of sight. Painted steel doors and shroud and stainless-steel handles look sharp, resist corrosion, and are easy to clean. An accent-colored, painted steel frame offers plenty of cooking stability. A center-mounted thermometer makes it easy to monitor progress. And, for optimal durability over the years, Weber designed the Genesis with cast aluminum end caps.
The cooking system, rated at 42,000 BTUs, includes three seamless stainless-steel burners and an electronic ignition system for easy starts. Weber's stainless-steel, angled Flavorizer bars prevent fat- and grease-fueled flare-ups that over-sear foods. Rather than unwanted flames, juices drip on the bars where they sizzle and smoke, adding extra flavor to grilled chicken, steaks, and kabobs. And, if Bob wants burgers, Stacy wants steaks, and Vicky wants veggie burgers, there's plenty of room for all with 507 square inches of primary cooking area. Great for keeping the buns and side dishes warm while the entrees sizzle, the warming rack measures 130 square inches, for a total cooking area of 637 square inches.
More great features include two stainless-steel work surfaces, two heavy-duty locking front casters, and two heavy-duty swivel back casters. Don't know what to grill first? Weber throws in a handy cookbook so you can get summer grilling underway. The grill measures 30 by 60 by 64-1/2 inches with the lid open.

I had been researching new grills for a while and had narrowed my list to the Weber Genesis and the Broil King Regal. Ultimately, I think the craftsmanship is better on the Broil King, the lid is hinged on the middle rather than clamshell so less heat is lost when you open the lid, and the knobs are on the front instead of taking up the entire side shelf like the Weber. I've had the grill as hot as 685-degrees and find it does a great job with steak, fish, vegetables, and pizzas on a stone.
